a piddly thing to most, I'm sure, but i take great pride in it.
monday night (yes, i am a bit removed by now, but have had little time
to advertise my pride since the great doings....

I made a grilled cheese sandwich.

what? you're not impressed? well, you should be. I have, perhaps
twice in the past 18 years (the span of my lifetime minus three days
or so), only made TWO successful grilled cheese sandwiches. Some of you know this,
some of you do not. Nevertheless, i have accomplished what was previously
thought imposible, even if only by me and a certain friend who should
be REALLY REALLY proud of me, hint hint...

well, i think it deserves applause.

Sigh. I remember my first 'successful' grilled cheese sandwich.
It was divine. But could I be satisfied? No. I had to make more.
And more. It was a consuming passion. All my nutrition from
grilled cheese. Not just cheddar, I might add. I got fancy.
I was living beyond my means. I had to change my sandwich habits.

So, I went cold turkey.

:)

Dan... It looks as though the quest for the perfect sandwich turned
you into a grilled cheese muenster... I don't know you, but I think I
love you. That was the BEST pun I have seen in a long time... whereas
my puns are always baaaaaaaad. You Rock.
