Sydney at last!
Youve all heard that the aussies are sport crazy? Well, double it! Its absolutely commendable for a nation to be athletically minded. Promoting a healthier and more active lifestyle these days isnt a top priority for most nations. Here, it is not just promoted it is essential for social acceptance.
There are an endless variety of sports here, spanning lawn bowling to full adrenaline rugby. I cant pretend to understand the rules of the games, even after they've been carefully explained to me. Not to mention the hound-like enjoyment one needs in order to sit through five days of a game, the SAME game, all day, for five days. Sorry, I just dont have it.
But plenty do. And plenty breathe and sleep these sports. But I guess one can draw these same parallels in the States as well.
